Come celebrate our two-year anniversary and help support our furry friends in need!
Bring your family and friends to have them watch you lift your MAX deadlift and help us raise money for Rain Coast Dog Rescue.

We will be having a whole host of amazing local vendors with pet products and a PUPPY PHOTOSHOOT for you and your pup to remember the event!

Fundraiser Goal: $3000

Truth Gym Gallery will be pledging 100% of all sign-up fees collected to Rain Coast Dog Rescue starting 4 weeks out from the event!  If you have any friends looking to join Truth, now is the perfect time!  Take advantage of our Summer Smash and help raise even more money for the doggos in need!

Competition Rules:

  • Mens Weight Classes: 50kg+, 80kg+, 110kg+
  • Women’s Weight Classes: 40kg+, 60kg+, 80kg+
 
Attire & Equipment:
– Athletes must wear shorts that are no longer than mid-thigh. 
– Shirts must be tucked in during the competition.
– All athletes must wear short-sleeved T-shirts.  No vulgar language is allowed on T-shirts.
– Wrist wraps and weightlifting belts are allowed.
 
Weigh-ins:
– Weigh-ins are held on the day of the event.  
– Please arrive early enough to be weighed in and warmed up in time for the event!
– If athletes are under 18 years old, parents must be present and must sign a waiver.
– All athletes over 18 must have ID with them.
 
Setting Attempts:
– The weight on the bar can only increase. 
– If you miss your opening attempt you are not permitted to lower the weight on your next attempt. You can try the same weight on your next attempt or you can increase weight.
– In each lift your opening attempt should be a weight you can move easily. Your second attempt will be more difficult while your third attempt should be the goal you are shooting for as a max attempt.
– After each attempt, you must immediately go to the scoring table and give the table the weight for your next attempt.
 
Deadlift Commands:
1.  Once the platform is ready you may approach the bar. 
2.  Lift to a full lockout of hips and knees.
3.  Once at the top, wait to hear the DOWN command 
4.  Return the bar to the ground under full control.  
Your hands must remain on the bar until the plates touch the ground!
