Hands down the best gym I’ve ever been to! I love how committed everyone is but so friendly at the same time. The staff are so amazing and really make you feel welcome. I was nervous joining as my boyfriend has competed in a body building show and I was more of a newbie, but this place in the last few years has become a second home.
The prices are so reasonable for what you get, the wide range of equipment and the level of cleanliness is unreal. I couldn’t imagine a better gym community to be a part of:) a big thank you to the gym staff for everything they do!

I was initially a little intimidated when I first decided to join Truth Gym - it’s a really popular location for both amateur and pro bodybuilders and seeing all these amazing athletes around I felt self-conscious about my body and my abilities. Those feelings were quickly shelved when I started to meet the staff, owners and other members. Everyone is on their own journey and there is so much respect for that here, whether you’re at the start of it, like I was, or you’re a pro in prep for your next comp. I’ve experienced so much encouragement and support from the Truth team and its members. Their selection. Of equipment is great and I find I rarely have to wait for machines even at peak times. If you’re in the downtown area, Vic west, or esquimalt, you can’t find a better place to train. Also, they carry some great merch, supplements, snacks, and even have a pre workout bar in case you forgot your own. I’ve been a member for just over a year and happy to say I’m just as committed to my fitness journey, in no small part because of the community at Truth.

Getting Here from Downtown Victoria
Truth Gym Gallery is just a quick 5-minute trip west of Downtown Victoria, nestled in the Vic West neighbourhood. Here’s how to get from the downtown core to your new training home.
How do I get here by car from Downtown Victoria?
From the downtown core, head west on Johnson Street, which turns into the Johnson Street Bridge. Cross the bridge into Vic West and turn right onto Alston Street — we’re right there on your left. The entire drive is about 5 minutes with easy, direct routing. We have a dedicated parking lot for members directly in front of the building. Note: Please ensure you register your vehicle at the front desk to receive your parking pass.
How do I get here by bus from Downtown?
From downtown Victoria, hop on BC Transit Routes #14 or #15 heading toward Esquimalt. Both routes stop along Esquimalt Road, just a short 5-minute walk from the gym entrance. You can catch these buses from multiple stops along Douglas Street and downtown transit hubs.
Can I walk or cycle from Downtown?
Absolutely. The walk from downtown across the Johnson Street Bridge is scenic and takes roughly 15–20 minutes. If you’re cycling, we’re easily reachable via the Galloping Goose Trail or the harbour pathway — and we have bike storage available at the facility.
What are the staffed hours?
Members enjoy 24/7 Key Fob access. For tours, drop-ins, or pro-shop purchases, our staff is available: Mon – Fri: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM Sat: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
